Cardiology

 

WWMG Department of Cardiology has been providing expert cardiovascular care to Everett and Snohomish County for over 25 years. Our care center consists of 9 academically trained cardiologists as well as 2 mid-level providers specializing in clinical cardiology, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, vascular and endovascular medicine, cardiac and vascular imaging, and congestive heart failure. WWMG Cardiology collaborates and performs many cardiovascular procedures at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. We hold a number of leadership positions at PRMCE (rated bested Cardiovascular Hospital in WA State and a Top 100 CV hospital nationally) including those in the Cardiovascular Catheterization Laboratories, the Congestive Heart Failure Program, and Non-invasive Cardiac Imaging Services. We also head and participate in a number of cardiovascular clinical research trials. All of our tenured physicians are multi-board certified and Fellows of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).  Our main office is conveniently located on the PRMCE Colby Campus at the Medical Office Building. We have a satellite clinic in Monroe and will add an additional office in Bothell in late 2009. Our comprehensive array of consultative, invasive, and interventional cardiovascular services include the following:

 

Clinical Consultation Services:

  • Coronary artery and valvular heart disease
  • Congestive heart failure, pericardial disease, and cardiomyopathies
  • Carotid and peripheral vascular disease
  • Arrhythmia (heart rhythm disorders) management
  • Pre-operative cardiovascular evaluation
  • Hypertension and lipid (cholesterol) disorders

Diagnostic Services:

  • Treadmill or pharmacologic cardiac stress testing with nuclear perfusion imaging
  • Transthoracic and stress echocardiography with contrast enhancement
  • Arterial ultrasound testing including carotid, subclavian, renal, mesenteric, and lower extremity peripheral examinations      
  • Abdominal aortic ultrasound                              
  • Ankle-brachial index testing with exercise
  • Pacemaker and cardiac device interrogation
  • Ambulatory Holter Monitor
  • King of Hearts Monitor

Cardiovascular Procedures:

  • Coronary angiography and interventions (angioplasty and stenting)
  • Peripheral vascular angiography and interventions (angioplasty and stenting)
  • Temporary and permanent pacemakers
  • Cardiac resynchronization therapy (biventricular pacing for CHF)
  • Permanent implantable defibrillators
  • Invasive electrophysiologic (EP) study and arrhythmia ablations (including ablation for atrial fibrillation)
