Job Summary:

Ideal candidate works reception in a fast-paced Arthritis Clinic helping patients with scheduling, checking patients in and out, reception and customer service (in person and on phones). Employee may assist with referrals and authorization processing for insurances.

Special Characteristics: Need a team player that can multi-task and is able to be comfortable with long stretches working on the phones.

Essential Functions (required by ADA): Reception and Customer Service, includes but is not limited to:

  • Answers multiple telephone lines using defined etiquette standards; route calls and messages.
  • Greets and directs visitors/patients and offers assistance.
  • Registers new patients and schedules office appointments.
  • Inputs patient registration, billing and patient charge data into database.
  • Answers questions and follows through on inquiries.

Qualifications/ Special Characteristics/ Requirements: Education Background

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Some college coursework preferred.

Licensure, Registration, Certification:

Work Experience:

  • Two years administrative or clerical support preferred

Controller – Full Time

WWMG is looking for a Controller to join our accounting team. This position will report to the CFO, and be responsible for supporting the company in a broad spectrum of financial responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, detail oriented, have strong communication skills and possess a seasoned background in accounting and finance.

Essential Job Functions:

  •  Preparation of monthly journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Manage on-time monthly accounting close process.
  • Review accounts payable invoices for coding and use tax issues.
  • Record bank activity daily and provide a list of daily ACH medical payments to the centralized payment posting department.
  • Review cash balance daily and keep CFO informed if LOC borrowing or pay down is necessary.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for main, payroll and refund accounts.
  • Review all refund requests before payment.
  • Reconcile general ledgers accounts monthly.
  • Preparation of yearly 1099s including transmittal to the IRS.
  • Prepare and transmit unclaimed property to the State of Washington yearly.
  • Review accounts payable invoices for capital expenditures. Maintain the capital assets in Sage Fixed Assets.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting documents for individual care centers.
  • Prepare and report the monthly B&O tax return to the state and quarterly city B&O tax returns.
  • Prepare monthly physician payroll.
  • Update dashboard information for quarterly distribution
  • Assist with year-end compilation workpaper preparation.
  • Track all rental agreements and manage recurring rent payments.
  • Prepare and file annual personal property listing for Snohomish County and reconcile assessment notice and work with assessor when differences arise.
  • Point of contact for care center managers for financial statement issues and questions.
  • Supervises AP and bi-weekly payroll
  • Work with Revenue Cycle manager on receivable payment issues as it applies to the financial statements
  • Help create and maintain financial policies and procedures
  • Projects as directed by CFO.

Professional Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance
  • CPA preferred but not necessary.
  • 5+ years of hands on experience in a fast moving business environment.
  • Prior experience as Controller, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Prior experience with Sage helpful.

Endoscopy Technician

Advanced Practice Clinician (APC)

Western Washington Cardiology is looking for a full-time Advanced Practice Clinician (APC), either ARNP or PA, with experience to work a flexible schedule (10 hour shifts), splitting time in the clinic setting and in the hospital setting. Our APC team is a three-provider team that works together for our patients and for our physicians. Coverage for weekends is expected, roughly one weekend every 2 months.

Job Summary:
Assists the doctor with everyday duties in running the hospital practice, patient rounding, cardiac stress testing supervisions, etc.Responsible for add-on office visits and Heart Failure Clinic patient visits in the outpatient setting.

Special Characteristics
Incumbent works under administrative direction, and in the hospital/ clinic setting under a doctor’s supervision. Is not in charge of other employees.

Essential Functions (required by ADA)
• Split time in our Silver Lake outpatient clinic and inpatient at Providence Regional Medical Center.
• Consults on in/out patients
• Orders medications
• Dictates history
• Works directly with physician for care planning

Typical Work:

A) Hospital

Makes rounds on all patients undergoing invasive studies:
• Verifies patient’s admission
• Dictates history and physical when necessary
• Facilitates communication between the cath lab and the floor
• Checks admitting laboratory values
• Notifies MD of any change in schedule
• Visits patient post-procedure
• Coordinates discharge planning
• Dictates discharge summary when necessary
• Writes pre- and post- procedural orders

Makes daily rounds on all inpatients:
• Checks daily status and adjusts patient management as per physician protocol
• Communicates with physician and notifies physician of change in patient status
• Checks daily laboratory values and makes appropriate adjustments in therapy
• Coordinates communication with referring physician
• Makes post discharge phone calls as necessary
• Intervenes in critical situations as instructed by physician.
Transfers and admissions:
• Assists in coordinating transfer of patients from other facilities
• Writes admitting orders
• Admitting history and physical

B) Office/ Clinic Setting
• Assists with history and physicals on new consults and follow-up for all patients, especially patients in our Heart Failure Clinic.
• Dictates reports as needed
• May oversee Coumadin adjustments for patients with anticoagulation
• Assists with patient management problems daily
• May perform occasional exercise stress testing or stress echocardiogram as needed

Typical Working Conditions
Typically works indoors, in either/both a hospital or clinic setting. Some weekend coverage is expected and days off will be adjusted accordingly.
