“I went into Family Medicine because I wanted to make a difference. I spent the beginning of my career in S. Africa and did just about everything - anesthesia, surgery, and medical visits. I even flew out to the bush to see patients who couldn't make it into the hospital for care. Making a difference in the lives of patients was a wonderful experience and when I returned to America I decided that I would work to impact lives in the same way I did in Africa."
