Now Available: The Whitehorse Family Medicine Walk-in Clinic

“We truly care about every single one of our patients. We want them to receive the best care possible and put that personal touch on care.” — Karen S. Myren, M.D.

To increase the offerings available to our patients at the Whitehorse Family Medicine practice, we now have a Walk-in Clinic available at the same location.

What does this mean?

In addition to the traditional services we currently feature such as obstetrics, primary care, geriatric care, diabetes monitoring, treatment for depression, well child checks and routine physicals, Whitehorse Family Medicine has expanded to include a Walk-in Clinic. That means any non-emergency issue that needs prompt attention can be addressed with a same day appointment.

Plus, it’s the closest non-pharmacy walk-in clinic for the Arlington area/Northern Snohomish County residents, so there’s the added convenience of not having to travel farther for same day care.

Who can use the Walk-in Clinic?

Any patient in the area that needs a same-day accommodation is welcome to use the Clinic. If you’re unsure of your personal coverage, check with your insurance provider.

What types of ailments are treated at the Walk-in Clinic?

There are several issues patients may choose to have addressed by care providers at the Walk-in Clinic. Here’s a brief list:

  • Injuries
  • Allergies & Asthma
  • Colds
  • Bronchitis/respiratory infections
  • Sinus infections
  • Skin rashes
  • Upset stomach
  • Insect bites
  • Migraines
  • Minor burns
  • Eye irritations and infections
  • Urinary and vaginal infections
  • Sexually transmitted diseases
  • Vaccinations

The only services we are unable to accommodate at the Walk-in Clinic are prescription refills, physical exams or treatment of chronic conditions. Those still need to be scheduled as a regular appointment with your primary care doctor.

Are there any added benefits of this Walk-in Clinic vs. others in the area?

Yes! Because this Walk-in Clinic is located in the same facility as the Western Washington Medical Group lab—and offers a satellite clinic for WWMG Podiatry, Cardiology, and other WWMG specialties—more comprehensive care is available.

This consolidation of care is not only convenient for patients, the Whitehorse Family Medicine staff are excited to offer additional ways to serve the community that is so dear to their hearts. “We create an atmosphere of family throughout the entire clinic,” said David W. Janeway, M.D., “When people walk through the door, they are treated as they would any other family member.”

At Whitehorse Family Medicine, we’re truly an extension of the community and proud to think of our patients as family. Open five days a week for easy access, we look forward to serving you.

As more patients begin to utilize the Walk-in Clinic, we anticipate a higher volume of visitors. For same day appointments, please call early to ensure availability. Our number is (360) 435-2233.

If you already have an appointment scheduled and want to take care of the forms before you arrive to save time, you can download those forms on our website.
