WWMG to Participate in Providence-Swedish Health Alliance

New alliance of several top medical groups and hospitals offers high-quality, affordable care to employers

Western Washington Medical Group (WWMG) and the Providence-Swedish Health Alliance today announced that they will work together to offer high quality, affordable health care benefits for local employers. WWMG is the latest medical group to join the Providence-Swedish Health Alliance, an accountable care organization that includes many of the area’s top physician practices and hospitals.

In June, Boeing announced it had selected the Providence-Swedish Health Alliance as one of two medical networks for its new Preferred Partnership option, which is available in the Puget Sound area for nonunion employees as well as some union-represented employees and retirees. Eligible employees can stay in their current plan or they can select the new option, which allows them to choose the Providence-Swedish Health Alliance for their care. Employees will make the selection during annual enrollment for benefits this November for coverage starting Jan. 1, 2015.

“As a longtime Snohomish County provider, WWMG has proudly served Boeing employees and families for years,” said Jerry Tillinger, CEO. “Through this partnership with the Providence-Swedish Health Alliance and Boeing, we are able to guarantee continuity of care for all of those patients. We are excited about the opportunity to help Boeing meet the health care needs of its employees so they can continue to thrive as a company in Puget Sound.”
