Critical Care

Western Washington Medical Group’s Critical Care Specialists (Intensivists) provide dedicated, 24/7 care to critically ill patients who require advanced monitoring and care in the Intensive Care Unit at Providence Everett Medical Center (PRMCE).

About our Intensivists

Our Intensivists have special training and are board-certified in the care of critically ill patients. They provide comprehensive care in a state-of-the-art, 48-bed intensive care unit. They work closely with surgeons and other specialists to provide the best care for our sickest patients, utilizing the most advanced technologies and protocols.

Although patients can present with a variety of life-threatening conditions and injuries, most commonly we manage respiratory failure, shock, sepsis, heart failure, pneumonia, central nervous system crisis–including stroke and seizure–as well as multi-system organ failure, including liver and renal failure.
