Being physically well is only part of the formula for leading a happy, fulfilling life. To truly thrive, we also need to take care of our mental health.
Western Washington Medical Group’s Psychology providers can help patients of all ages with a range of mental and behavioral health issues. Individual, couples and family counseling is also offered.
Psychology for children and adults
For children, seeing a child psychologist is important in the formative years to identify and address any concerns. We believe in taking a proactive vs. reactive approach to child psychology to prevent issues, if possible, before they arise.
For adults, seeing a psychologist is important if you’re experiencing mental health challenges. One way to know if you’re in need of help is to watch for any or all of these warning signs:
- Lack of energy
- Unexpected or unexplained aches and pains
- Substance abuse
- Depression and/or anxiety
- PTSD: Chronic stress or episodes following a trauma
- Overeating
- Oversleeping or insomnia
- Conflicts with loved ones
- Mood swings
- Irritability and anger
- Hearing voices
- Having an obsession with death or the desire to hurt yourself or others
- The inability to perform daily tasks
- The failure to care for yourself, or for others who are dependent upon you
